Before working with Gemma I was on a career break. My work had been quite specialist and it was all I had known. So the unknown was quite overwhelming.

I was in a real low spot with regards to my work life before I got in touch with Gemma. Having worked in the fashion industry for over 10 years I wasn’t feeling fulfilled by my role anymore. I felt lost and completely overwhelmed with the sheer amount of potential directions I could take. So much so I’d feel anxious just looking at job sites for ideas, feeling scared that I didn’t have the right qualifications, or my experience was too niche. I needed a fresh way of looking at my work life and what I wanted from it. The Firework programme sounded like a great way to explore this. Knowing Gemma had gone through the course herself was even more of an incentive, as she’d know where I was coming from and not judge me in anyway.
Gemma was great to work with! I felt completely at ease and comfortable talking to her. She listened and probed deeper when needed, and it was fascinating how she linked things back to my values and strengths throughout, making me realise how and why I would do things in my life without being aware of the reasons. I’m a very visual person and so found the visualisation exercises really beneficial – Gemma created a safe environment where I could be really open with the explored possibilities. I can’t thank her enough, it’s been such a wonderful experience and I’m glad she was there to guide me and listen.
I’m now feeling really positive, motivated and excited to take the next step in my work life! I have a really clear end goal of what I want to achieve and an exploratory phase that will be fun to go through to get me there. Coming out the other end I feel so much clearer in the direction that I want to take. It’s as if the fog around my brain has lifted and I have clarity again.

I NOW FEEL CALM, FOCUSED AND CLEAR ON WHAT I NEED AND WHERE I WANT TO GO.
As I approached a career crossroads I wanted to take stock and focus time on my personal development, career and personal goals and ensure I had them all aligned. I had moved through my career, juggled a young family and progressed up to a senior level in my field and was left wondering where & what next. I wanted to step back, take stock and carefully think through where I moved my career next.
Firework, and specifically Gemma, had been recommended to me from friends who had gained a huge amount from their time with her.
Gemma made the process instantly engaging and easy to connect with. The structured process built week-on-week and felt totally tailored to my individual goals. Gemma’s warm, professional and relaxed style makes her brilliant at what she does and the firework programme instantly accessible.
The exercises in preparation and during sessions were always thought provoking and really helped me make sense of my values, goals, strengths and skills. More importantly it has guided me through real actionable plans to make those goals a reality.
I now feel calm, focused and clear on what I need and where I want to go. The work on my Life and Work Stars I found particularly powerful and I regularly reflect back on them now as my compasses for decisions. Completing the programme has given me a calm inner knowing about my work motivators, priorities, values and skills as I take on a new exciting career step. After completing the programme I am about to start a new exciting career move which I don’t think I would have been ready to do without the work I have done with Gemma on the firework programme. I wholeheartedly believe I will be able to take the work I did and things I learnt with Gemma through the rest of my career. I would highly recommend the programme for people at all career stages, but in particular if you find yourself at a career crossroad and want to find a clear path forward.
